Oak and sweet chestnut gate posts and bollards are cut to order on site.
Both timbers are naturally durable due to their high tannin content, and do not require further treatment before use. All hardwood gate posts are supplied fresh sawn (green).
Standard dimensions would be between 100 x 100 mm and 200 x 200 mm, but larger sizes can be cut. Additional services include:
- Planing
- Chamfering corners
- Topping (four-way top/two-way top)
- Routered section
PLEASE BE AWARE: green oak will shrink in use, which may result in splitting, bowing and twisting. Please take this into consideration before ordering.
