All sweet chestnut is cut to order, and therefore supplied fresh sawn (green) to your dimensions.
We do not have facility to dry or grade our timber. The scale of our operation makes us more suited to dealing with small to moderate sized, bespoke orders rather than lorry loads of beams and sleepers.
PLEASE BE AWARE: fresh sawn sweet chestnut will shrink in use, which may result in splitting, bowing and twisting. Please take this into consideration before ordering.
